3 Ways To Stay Focused On Achieving More In Your Business

When it comes to managing an online business, often we become distracted due to being overwhelmed or from new ‘gadgets’, therefore we lose focus on the important things in our enterprises that actually create us income. This decreases our work rate and in worse cases can lead to procrastination.

Having said that, there are many simple ways to stay focused on having success in your business. In this post I am going to share what I believe are the 3 most important for any skill level of entrepreneurs:

1) Create a 90 day game plan – by failing to plan this, you have already planned to fail. This is where you want to start thinking about a realistic, simple goal that you can achieve in 90 days or less e.g. your first $1000. However it’s not just setting the goal, in this game plan include what you’re aiming to do in order to get the goal you set.

2) Design a daily ‘to do’ list – write down 5 simple tasks you want to achieve today in order of importance on Notepad, a piece of paper or anywhere that will be seen often. Write this before you go to bed so that subconsciously you will think about these ‘to do’ tasks. Here’s an example of mine I wrote the other day just before turning off my laptop:

  1. Write & syndicate blog post
  2. Return voicemails & call leads
  3. Read 20 pages of Think And Grow Rich
  4. Listen to MLSP webinar on MP3 player
  5. Shoot video in back garden

Also make sure that these are somewhat related to building your business, so don’t add ‘pick up Jimmy from day care’ to this list. Credit goes to Mike Dillard for this absolutely sound advice.

3) Overlook on what you’ve achieved in the past month – take a look at what you have accomplished that will contribute towards making you money in your business. Especially in terms of what has and hasn’t worked, as well as checking your progress towards your goal(s). At this stage you can readjust your targets if needed, and whatever has worked you can include in future marketing campaigns.

Above all, these three ways will keep you focused on achieving tonnes more in your business – work at it, but don’t work too hard!

Why Are You Hiding Yourself But Not Your MLM Opportunity?

If you’re not at all showing your human side, your prospects might think of you as this:

Show your human side and personality (like I did in this video) & special thanks to my pet cat for the voluntary contribution…

Are You Marketing Your MLM Business With The ‘Bulldog Approach’?

It’s kind of sad because most people reading this article probably wouldn’t admit it doing this, however those who are struggling in this industry usually are true Bulldogs. Read on to find out why the ‘Bulldog approach’ may prevent any growth in your MLM business.

Top earners in MLM neglect the Bulldog approach because they prefer to use the Scientific approach instead. Let me explain the differences between these two marketing approaches and why I wouldn’t want to be on the latter half (you’d probably agree with me on this one once you understand).

Bulldog approach: Those who take this approach would much rather make a sale than create a relationship or trust. Typically these marketers struggle to drive targeted traffic to their crappy replicated company websites or create any leads that are looking for what they’re offering.

Testing and tracking results usually are unheard of by those who apply the Bulldog approach; instead of facing facts they would prefer to market how they want to instead of a strategy that actually gets results (often due to ignorance and/or not adapting to change).

Scientific approach: Every new marketing strategy and campaign is tested/tracked in order to measure effectiveness by analysing results. If a certain strategy creates poor results, those taking the Scientific approach will drop what doesn’t work and focus their all on what’s working now.

Due to the nature of their business, they often get the most results as they are willing to test several marketing strategies. Once they find something that works they will not only implement that but change it slightly to improve conversions, in order to overall create more profit in their business.

Going back to the question at hand; are YOU using the Bulldog approach to market your MLM business? You’d be much better off being a scientific marketer, trust me ;)
