Most likely you were like me, searching high and low for home based business marketing strategies that were both effective and would reach the right people who were interested in my product or service. I struggled to find anything that really worked though! So if this is you, then read on for three hot tips to get more interested people to hunt you down, wanting to work with you.
1 – Offer advice and solutions not pitch or explain benefits. Just this morning as I’m writing this, as I offered advice to someone about how to help their website convert into more sales I potentially made a sale. Here’s how it worked as an example.
One of my friends who I met at an event last weekend commented in a Facebook group. She was asking for advice about getting more conversions. I suggested a free plus shipping book called Dot Com Secrets which I am an affiliate of, and I get paid from any upsells if she decides to buy these.
If not then no worries I still pointed her in the right direction and made sure she picked up a great book by Russell Brunson who trains millionaires on how to get their sales and marketing campaigns to bring in more sales.
She was actually thanking me for my help! How often do you get that when you try and push a business onto someone who didn’t ever ask for it? I’m willing to bet never! At least I haven’t.
2 – Make the experience about the other person, not you. I can’t tell you how many times I see people talking themselves out of a sale by just talking too much about why they joined.
Instead focus on the other person and what their needs are. A good question to ask a prospect is “when looking at a business/product/service what is most important to you when making a decision to move forward?”
You were given two ears and one mouth for a reason…so listen and listen well, if you want to get results 🙂
3 – Find a way to generate more leads than you have time. A big reason why I feel people get despondent about building their business is that if one person tells them no, they don’t have a bunch more people lined up who they can go and talk to instead. A great way to combat this in your business is to both actively go out and prospect, as well as either create adverts or content that passively brings in leads to you.
