Been researching the MLSP Live the Dream events and wondering if they really can help take your business to the next level?
In this blog post I’ll share from my experience of attending two MLSP Live the Dream events and give my true thoughts after attending LTD7 in Austin, Texas in August 2016 (and LTD3 back in Dallas, Texas in October 2012).
For me personally, attending events in person such as LTD are hugely important and 1-3 times a year I will fly all the way from Ipswich, England to the USA just to attend conferences there. There is no such experience you can get on a webinar, training call, blog post, slideshow etc that compares to the ENERGY of being at an event in person.
So let’s back track briefly to the LTD3 event I went to in 2012 at Dallas, Texas so we can compare the two…now this is a SCARY time for me as it’s the first transatlantic flight I had been to ever and I was only 19 years old. Imagine that, 19 years old and making my first ever trip to the USA (I had NEVER flown more than a few hours on a plane before!) and it really was a crazy thing for me to do, everyone I knew told me I was insane at the time.
Also I didn’t really have the money at the time to go. However, I still found a way to make it happen because I really wanted to go, as I knew all the top marketers I wanted to be like would be there. Ever find that if you really want something, the universe will move mountains for you to make it manifest into your reality?
Now I made the wise decision of purchasing a VIP ticket which I ALWAYS recommend so long as the benefits there are worth the upgrade. This is one thing I will credit the MLSP Live the Dream events for, is offering a great amount of value when you upgrade to VIP.
I believe it was around $700 to upgrade back in 2012 and the prices have been fairly consistent every year, with discounts often offered if you buy your ticket well before the next LTD event.
What you do get however is things like free breakfast and all you can drink coffee, priority seating and extra networking functions for VIP only e.g. open bar cocktail parties which are FAR less crowded. I have paid a lot more to do VIP at similar events to this and have not gotten the value that I did with MLSP Live the Dream.
So the actual content of the events is really high level stuff, you have some of the industry’s top producers that come on stage and talk about things such as the best MLM leads source from names like Ray Higdon, Todd Falcone, Diane Hochman, Aron Parker, Dr Joe Dispenza, heck even Mike Dillard stepped in to say hello! Plus many more 6, 7 and even 8 figure earners to list. What could be better than spending a weekend rubbing shoulders with these legends?
You also learn the newest strategies to go and find targeted prospects who want to buy your stuff, and even some meditation from world class mindset professional Dr Dispenza to help quite and de-clutter the mind to remove success blockers.
A lot of the speakers on stage are overbooked to the point where they don’t do coaching as they are so in demand, but if they did, the average that they typically charge organisations is $2,000+ per hour. So to only pay a few hundred bucks AND get all the other goodies included is worth it ten fold.
Also at LTD7, MLSP did an interesting thing where you had to reach L1 (hit a sales target within their affiliate marketing side) to qualify for the cocktail party – earnt, not bought! So they definitely are the most creative with offering incentives to not only upgrade to VIP but to work your backside off to reap the rewards, just like in real life! 🙂
Selling on stage? You won’t get that from any of the speakers actually, in fact most of them have set up a free training exclusively for LTD event attendees. MLSP do however offer things like private retreats and coaching packages at the event on stage, both of which are at a fairly high level and are not for everyone, and are usually by application only (with a full refund given if you’re not a fit).
The thing I like about MLSP whenever they’re doing a new product launch is that YOU as an affiliate get paid! In some cases you don’t even need to own the product they sell to get the commission, which some companies actually require. So now you actually have leverage as MLSP do the selling for you.
Bear in mind that MLSP is not a network marketing opportunity, yet they sure do recognise your efforts and have a lot of fun in the process. Here’s a picture of me and my business partner Phil Faulkner winning an award on stage at MLSP Live the Dream 7, as well as one of our team mates inside MLSP Matt Richards who flew out with us to Austin. We ended up with a polished glass award to thank us for our hard work, definitely one of the proudest moments of my life!
What was different about LTD7 was the fact that we had over 600 people there, and when I went to LTD3 it was about 450. What was cooler is that back in 2012 I was the only Brit there! This time around in 2016, we had people from all over the world at MLSP Live the Dream 7, a lot more of a UK crew this time around too. It’s always fun when you bring a little bit of home with you on your travels, don’t you think? 🙂
So overall the two MLSP Live the Dream Events I’ve been to have been a lot of fun, I’ve learnt so much valuable information (as well as have content for my blog and my MLM Success With Seb YouTube channel now for many months) and although it was something crazy like a 10,000 mile trip for me I would go again in a heartbeat. They have definitely improved year by year, like a very good one…perhaps we will meet in person one day at an event just like Live The Dream!
