Are you a nobody in the Network Marketing industry? Does anyone know who you actually are or recognise your name? In fact, if someone Googles your name will you even show up in the search results?
As I have mentioned in many previous blog posts…you’re not building the reputation of the company you work with in Network Marketing – you should be building your own!
However a lot of people who are new to the industry struggle to build the foundations of a positive reputation. Although there are many ways to do this, I want to simplify things in this blog post just by outlining what I believe are the 5 (simplest) steps to building a positive reputation for yourself in Network Marketing. They are as following:
1) Brand yourself on social networks and your blog/website – by doing this, people will be instantly attracted and sold on you (not on a ‘just another WordPress blog!), in fact a professional blog & social media profile graphic design shouldn’t cost you over $250. It IS worth the investment and it WILL make you stand out – a must have.
2) Interview leaders in the industry – this will not only position you as someone of high authority to your followers and prospects, but you will also learn a lot by doing 30-60 minute interviews with these professionals. Note: some leaders will be more willing to do interviews than others, so give them something of value in return for their time.
3) Create a ‘marketing tribe’ – what I mean by this is find other marketers and form an alliance; partner with them on webinars, videos, websites, product creations etc. and by doing this you’ll find that you will all succeed together faster than struggling alone. Drop the “I’ll lose sales to them” attitude…if you’re that concerned then split whatever profit is generated though sales you have created in this ‘marketing tribe’.
4) Share other marketers’ content – blog posts, videos, websites etc. though social media or even to your list if applicable. Too many Network Marketers live in a ‘link poverty’ where they believe if they share others’ content they will lose leads and traffic; however through the law of reciprocation giving starts the receiving process. In addition, nobody wants to see your content promoted the whole time.
5) Become an expert in a your chosen field – master one strategy in Network Marketing e.g. Social Media marketing, closing on the phone, blogging etc. and brand yourself as an expert in that ONE strategy (this will make you more likely to be known for someone of value, not just another Network Marketer). Even if you are proficient with more than one strategy, pick the one you are best at and share your skills in that chosen one.
Just to recap, before you become a leader you must first of all establish a presence in this wonderful industry. Like I said you can do this in many different ways…but following my sound advice is just the beginning. I have personally followed these 5 steps, they’re easy to do and you would be entirely lost without this blog post…maybe 😉

Great Post my friend… keep rockin’
I really enjoyed this post. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the great share seb. It is a fact that most new marketers tend to consider the company as the focus of all attention rather than themselves.
