Need online leadership training to further your career or business?
You’ve probably heard that there are leaders and there are followers in this world. This is partially true, and so my goal in this online leadership training is give you insight on how to REALLY become a leader, without years of trial and error. It doesn’t matter what career or line of business you’re in, leadership skills are crucial to success, and so I want to help you out.
So going back to there being leaders and followers…yes there are leaders and followers, but this is not set in stone. A follower can become a ‘pre-leader’ by gradually stepping into a leadership role.
So what is leadership as a definition?
There’s many out there, but my definition is a person that can establish authority over a group of people, in a supportive and thriving way. Now this can translate into many different things, such as a manager in a company or a business owner hiring their own employees. Generally, leaders have a vision or a goal to work towards and achieve.
In a way, leadership isn’t something that can be taught, as most leaders end up becoming leaders just by having a huge amount of confidence. They also aren’t afraid to fail, and especially don’t care what others think or seek approval.
So how do you work your way up to become a leader? It’s a gradual process and can take years, especially if you’re starting as someone who isn’t particularly confident. The fastest way to learn is study other leaders in your industry; how do they walk? How do they talk? You even need to look at minute details such as their posture.
Great examples of leaders to study are presidents (Barack Obama was a phenomenal speaker – example), comedians and public speakers. It takes a tremendous amount of practice and confidence to speak flawlessly, but you can learn a lot from watching others.
You can absorb online leadership training all day and night, but until you step into leadership and get comfortable being uncomfortable you will just be dreaming. Do at least one thing daily that challenges you and you’ll stand apart from the rest.
