1 – Start putting out content instead of just pitching your business
I recommend creating content both on social media platforms like Facebook and also on a blog like the one you’re reading. It’s best to do both as something you post on Facebook gets ‘buried’ within a few days, whereas creating content on a blog can’t get swamped by other people’s posts. Also, your own blog is something you own and control.
Start creating content that speaks to your ideal business partner or customer, and write content that they’d find useful in terms of solving problems they’re experiencing.
2 – Give clear calls to action in all of your marketing
Remember that people come from a job mentality and need to be told what to do, until they transition into the entrepreneur mindset. Therefore it’s important to always tell people the next steps e.g. contact me on Facebook or on Skype to learn more. Don’t assume people will do it, you need to ask if you want to get a result.
3 – Find a mentor and be coachable
This is absolutely crucial, even if it means you have to pay a large fee to hire a coach. The money you invest you can get back (hey, it’s a tax write off anyway) but the years of trial and error on your own you can’t cash in on.
The hardest part for people is to surrender their pride and ego to just be coachable by following instructions. There’s no need to try and reinvent the wheel creating your own system, app or gizmo when you can leverage of someone else’s proven business to get started.
4 – Plug into personal development daily
Even if it’s just 15 minutes a day, it’s important to keep your mind filled with positive information that gets your brain thinking productively. Every day we’re filled with negativity from others at work or people on public transport discussing the news. It’s everywhere we go if we don’t remove ourselves from it.
The human brain is programmed to think negatively by itself, which can cripple your productivity. It’s crucial to always be learning something new daily to improve your mindset or marketing skills, so make the days count and don’t count the days.
