Wanting to find some Dream Board examples to guide you on how to create a vision board that truly opens up the reality you want to create?
In today’s post you are going to discover how to create a dream board that truly opens up the gateway to attract the life that you TRULY desire. I’m here to give you a proven strategy behind creating a vision board that really lets you almost see into the future you want to appear in your world. You ready?
You are going to need the following:
- Magazines that contain glossy, thick pictures (though you may print high quality pictures)
- Scissors that can cut at tight angles
- Glue stick
- Plyboard – A3 size or bigger if possible. You can get these at Staples usually or you may be able to look online.
Now don’t get me wrong – this was my third attempt and the other two really were messy. So don’t expect yours to be perfect first time, though you can get a friend or loved one to help you with the process and join in the fun.
Bear in mind however I’ve seen very few people produce dream board examples that are truly 3D, to the point where it looks like you can almost reach out and grab that gold Rolex or emerald. Or to where you can really see into the distance for miles and miles. Now that’s the effect you want to get when thinking about how to create a vision board. This video will explain more:
Some of the best magazines can be found for free at a local travel agents or luxury clothing/jewellery shop. See if any friends or family have any laying around that you can use. You can always research online to find new magazines but however you do this, you will need something with nature as the background and luxury items to lay on top.
The first of the dream board examples I want to show you is my own…right now it’s a work in progress but do you notice how all of it blends together and it gives off a 3D effect?
This is what you want to create. You must cut and stick this onto ply board – doing this on a computer won’t work as well in my opinion.
The difference is that the cutting and sticking connects you to your inner child, a time when you had ‘wild’ imagination and were able to dream or visualise without any limitations. Like back when you were in primary school as a young child in art & design.
This effect is a lot harder to get on a computer, and although you may be tempted to do this on your PC, it is worth spending the extra time doing it manually.
Firstly, make sure the backdrop is set up so you have a few larger pictures that cover all the white space the background. There should be zero white space.
Then once this is done, stick down slightly smaller pictures as part of the middle ground, then even smaller pictures as the foreground so that you have 2 or 3 layers (you don’t always have to do a middle ground if it’ll look too crowded).
Here’s an example from one of my mentors Darren Little. Notice how everything is connected? Also you’ll see in both these dream board examples that the yachts and planes are pointing towards the middle.
This is part of the formula whereby all of the items on the dream board are united and are one – rather than elaborating on this, I’ll just say that it’s an energy thing. This interview with Internet rockstar Vitaliy Dubinin is very much related to visualising which you may find useful.
It all comes down to seeing your reality before it appears, so don’t rush the process, enjoy yourself now that you have a lot less to figure out when thinking how to create a vision board.
