What are some of the best strategies to start marketing your home based business like a juggernaut but also without being too direct?
No matter what kind of home business you’re marketing, the goal is to get good at effective marketing and not just shouting the loudest! So my goal in this blog post is to share the best ways to start marketing your home based business like a beast without pissing too many people off.
So what is wrong with being direct when marketing your home based business?
I personally don’t think being direct is an issue so long as the following apply;
- You know that the person likes and trusts you i.e. has bought from you before or has been in your network for a while
- They are asking you for more information about what you do
There’s no point beating around the bush if someone genuinely wants in on what you’re doing. If they want to see more information about your business, I wouldn’t put off sending them a video!
Even if this does happen, don’t worry. You will occasionally be criticised for being too aggressive, which is pretty normal. Don’t let this put you off, especially if you are certain that the above two points apply. After all, THEY approached YOU, correct? Or at least, they see the value in working with you.
When this does become an issue is if you are getting a LOT of pushback you will need to tone down your approach, but often this happens there is no rapport and it’s not an incoming enquiry. However, I would much rather be more aggressive when marketing your home based business and get more sales than not enough and make less sales.
I get this a lot with my email list; sometimes I email out three times per day and there will be a few complainers due to the volume. Well let me tell you, there will also be a few customers and signups, you should expect the same too over time when you have given so much value that they are guilted into buying from you.
Finally, if all else fails you can ask for referrals, the worst you can be told is no and that’s it. If you are looking for more home based business marketing strategies I recommend this blog post.
